As one of the few practices with a qualified FCIS practitioner, the Company is able to provide advice on matters including the King Code and Report on Governance for South Africa “King IV Report on Corporate Governance for South Africa 2016” and South African Revenue Service “SARS” registration matters.
Chris is a Fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators of Southern African and a registered member of the Professional Practice Group, the Chairman of the Western Cape Branch of the Institute and a Director of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators of Southern Africa. Chris specialises in providing all Board and Board Governance services to many large corporate entities throughout South Africa. Chris serves on the Board of Directors for a number of clients as a Non-Executive Director and is a member of the CSSA Technical Committee.
Over the past twelve years Matthew has been an integral part of the management team of two national company secretarial practices emanating from the top six global audit firms. Matthew previously also worked for a listed media group listed on the JSE and NASDAQ exchanges, as well as in the financial and company secretarial divisions of a major listed South African Bank.
Due to Matthew’s wide-ranging experience in various fields his knowledge on company secretarial, statutory and corporate governance is extensive.
Melanie has seventeen years’ experience within an audit firm background as well as an outsourced company secretary and has specialised in corporate governance, corporate advisory services, corporate restructures, disposals, mergers and acquisitions as well as course lectures on the Companies Act and directors duties.
Sergio is a Senior Corporate Secretarial Consultant. He has over 19 years corporate experience in statutory services and compliance matters. Sergio is a skilled administrator whose clients range from start up to large tier firms that operate across a number of sectors.
With a diploma from the Chartered Institute of Secretaries (now CSSA), Angela has over 11 years corporate experience having worked on a number of corporate transactions. Previously with a global auditing firm, her portfolio comprises of international and domestic clients in, amongst others, the hospitality, financial services and pharmaceutical industries.
Najwa is a qualified paralegal with over 10 years corporate secretarial experience. She administers a client base that includes organisations operating in, amongst others, the renewable energy sector, legal practice, non-profit and Johannesburg Stock Exchange.
Donfrey is a MBA graduate from the University of Cape Town Graduate School of Business and currently completing his CSSA board exams. His experience ranges from assisting boards and board committees of JSE-listed entities, to technology start-ups, medical schemes, media and financial services sectors.
Jess has worked for a number of audit firms of varying sizes over the last 9 years, where she gained a large amount of experience, heading up the statutory departments and providing a full range of range of statutory services to the firm’s clients base. Jess’s main priority is to ensure that clients receive helpful and efficient service and are well informed on the progress of their applications.
Jessica joined Kilgetty Statutory Services Durban, in February 2015, as the Managing Consultant and is studying part time towards her LLB degree through UNISA.
